Honey Ham


250 grams Ham, sliced
cups lotus seeds, cooked
cups cooked chesnuts, diced
cups pineapples, lightly extracted juice
¼ teaspoon black soy sauce
½ cup pineapple juice
2 teaspoons cornflour
½ teaspoon salt

Honey Sauce

2 tablespoons honey
teaspoons cornflour
1 teaspoon light soy sauce
1 tablespoon cooking oil
½ cup juice from the steamed dish

Cut sliced Ham into 1½” x 2½” pieces. Arrange ham pieces on the inner side of the 8″ dish, lap one piece over the other. Put together half of lotus seeds and chesnuts onto the bottom of the dish. Spread pineapple over this layer. Put the left lotus seeds and chesnuts on the top, press. Mix well pineapple juice, cornflour, salt and black soy sauce in a 1-cup measure and pour over the dish. Cover tightly with microwave plastic wrap. Microwave at High (600-700 Watts) for 9 minutes. Remove cooked stuffed ham from the dish and serve with honey sauce. Mix well all honey sauce ingredients in 1-cup glass measure. Cover tightly with microwave plastic wrap. Cook at High (600-700 Watts) for 2 minutes. Remove from the oven, stir thoroughly and pour over the stuffed ham. (This can be served as a first dish. It is inadvisable to prepare this a long time ahead because ham meat will be too soft from pineapple juice)
