Black Forest Cake Recipe

Sift cake flour, cornflour, baking powder and cocoa powder together. In a large mixing bowl beat the yolks with an electric mixer. Stir in sugar, water and butter gradually. Fold in cake flour mixture. Place in a small mixing bowl egg whites. Beat until straight peak is formed when beaters are raised. Fold egg whites into the batter until well mixed. Spread batter in a prepared 10½” round baking dish. Microwave at High (600-700 Watts) for 7 minutes. Turn out onto a wire rack. When cooled, slice into 3 layers and decorate with frosting.
Use an electric mixer. Whip the whipping cream with 1 tablespoon sugar. Set aside. Dissolve instant coffee with warm water. Beat butter and 2 tablespoons sugar in small mixing bowl until light. Add coffee and beat until well mixed, pour rum on top of the first layer and spread with cherry pie filling. Top with second layer and spread with coffee butter cream. Put the third layer on top and frost all over the cake with the whipping cream. Sprinkle on top with grated chocolate.
