Bananas in Heavy Syrup
Mix sugar and water in a 2-quart container. Microwave, covered, at High (600-700 Watts) for 10 minutes. Peel bananas, and cut into 4 sections. Add bananas to syrup bowl. Reduce power to Medium (360 Watts) and cook, uncovered, for 35 minutes. Continue with Medium Low (240 Watts) for 40 minutes.
