Ramen in the Microwave

Skip going out and skip cup noodles, use this recipe to make delicious homemade Ramen right in your microwave.

Making homemade Ramen in the microwave makes for a great last minute dinner plan. Or just a delicious dinner plan! This recipe doesn’t have to be limited to the nights that you don’t have time to cook because it is so good.

This recipe can be done in a large mug or a bowl, to prevent any broth from bubbling over. I like to use a mug so I can hold the handle while it is hot! However for a larger serving, a bowl will work fine.

Ingredients

  • 1 package of instant Ramen noodles
  • 1/3 cup shredded carrot
  • 1/3 cup edamame (shelled)
  • 1/3 bean sprouts
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • Sriracha

How to Make Ramen in the Microwave – Step by Step

  1. Follow this link to hard boil an egg in your microwave
  2. After you have hard (or soft) boiled you egg, in a microwave safe bowl, combine noodles, seasoning, and 2 cups of water; microwave on high for about 4 minutes.
  3. Remove, stir, and add in shredded carrot, edamame, and bean sprouts; microwave for an additional 1-2 minutes or until noodles are cooked and vegetables are soft
  4. Mix in soy sauce, crack hard boiled egg and cut in half to add in, drizzle with Sriracha, enjoy!

Tips For Making Ramen in the Microwave

Use a bigger mug or bowl to avoid any spilling in the microwave.

When removing your mug or bowl from the microwave be careful, it will be hot!

Get creative with this recipe! Add things like corn, dried seaweed, spinach, mushrooms, chicken, jalapeƱo, really anything that you want! You do not have to be limited to the ingredients that I use.
