Making a homemade English Muffin is so yummy, fluffy, and warm, I love biting into the soft bread with my favorite jam spread on it. So delicious! I want to share this recipe with you because it is fast and easy and tastes like home.

This is a great recipe to experiment with and find what works for you! This is just my technique, you get creative and try using a different microwave safe dish if you do not have a bowl. Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp wheat flour
  • 1/8 tsp baking powder
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tbsp milk

How to Make and English Muffin in the Microwave – Step by Step

  1. In a bowl, combine flour and baking powder, then mix until combined
  2. Next, add egg and milk, then beat with a fork until a batter is formed
  3. Allow batter to rest for 5 minutes (optional)
  4. In a separate microwave safe bowl or ramekin, place butter and microwave on high for 30 seconds
  5. Remove from microwave and pour batter in; microwave on high for 1, remove and check for doneness and continue to microwave in 30 second intervals until cooked through

Tips For the Perfect Home Made English Muffin in the Microwave

Keep and eye on on your English Muffin while it is in the microwave and be careful not to overcook it. There is egg in it so if it cooks too much, it will end up having a chewy rubbery texture.

Add peanut butter, jam, or make an egg and bacon sandwich out of your English Muffin!
